Volunteering
Olympic Neighbourhood House is supported by a large group of dedicated volunteers. Retired teachers, professionals, mums, university students and members of the local community. Volunteers share their interests & skills, run activities, provide classroom support, admin & concierge support and assist with programs, projects and events.
Somatic Dance for Neurodiverse 8-15 years
Body connection, frequency, sensory movement, dance, and creativity. Our fabulous dance instructors and mentors Carolyn and Brendan will run these classes. Various dance forms will be selected based on participants' interests.
Community Gardening Group
Join others to help maintain the community garden. Drop in and enjoy a cup of tea and chat. This is a great way to meet others and spend some time outdoors.
Olympic Seniors Social Group
Meet new people, enjoy community activities, exercise and play bingo over afternoon tea.
Tapping, Meditation, Health & Wellbeing Group
Emotional Freedom techniques (EFT tapping), is a self healing technique that can be used to balance and release emotion. Supporting a wide range of concerns, such as stress, anxiety and chronic pain. This group ends with a heart centred nature based meditation. It is also an opportunity for community members to share with each other a variety of health and wellbeing techniques.
3081 Sewing Group
A friendly group where participants meet weekly to share their skills around sewing, knitting and crafts. This groups provides an informal, warm place to make friends, have a chat, practise your skills and learn from each other. Sewing machines are provided or you are welcome to bring your own.
K-Krafts and Arts
Learn new craft skills or bring along your own project and chat with like minded people in a relaxed environment, with skilled helpers on hand.
Barbering Level 1 and 2
This five day course will give you a taste of what it would be like to be an apprentice barber. It will be run in a barber shop and taught by a professional barber. You will learn about cutting, shaving, products, salon hygiene, operating the till, customer service and much more.
Pot While You Potter
Do you enjoy pottering around the garden? Join others to help maintain the Hub garden and propagate seedlings in our polyhouse. Maybe sell your produce at our community markets. Drop in and enjoy morning tea and a chat.
Soul Sisters ‘The Beginning’
Are you looking to connect with like-minded women and learn strategies to support your life? This 10-week program is run by a qualified counsellor and life coach and covers topics like financial management, training and employment and health and wellbeing. Make new friends whilst you create a brighter version of you.

These courses are for learners who are not looking for a qualification, but still want to learn some basic skills. They may assist as a pathway to further education, training and employment.
These courses are for those wanting to learn how to use a computer and are suitable also for those where English may be a second language.
