Our Somatic Dance Program for Neurodivergent Children is back!

Olympic Neighbourhood House is excited to share that our Somatic Dance Program for Neurodivergent Children is returning in 2026!

This specialised, movement-based program is designed for neurodivergent children aged 6–12. Offering a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where participants can explore their bodies, build self-awareness, and express emotions through dance and movement.

Instructors and volunteer youth mentors supporting the sessions will either identify as neurodivergent or have significant personal or professional experience working with neurodiverse individuals.

Program details:

The program runs across 8-week blocks in Term 2 & 3.

Dates:

  • Term 2: 02 May 0 20 June 2026

  • Term 3: 25 July - 12 September 2026  

Time: Saturdays, 10:30am – 12:00pm

Location:  Rosanna Baptist Church

Seeking

  • 10 dancers aged 6-12. Class enrolments close 17th of April.

  • 1 dance instructor. Job Applications close 22 February.

  • 2 youth mentors.  Mentor applications close 6th of March. 

This is a unique opportunity with limited spaces available. We encourage you to share it with schools, families, young people, and prospective instructors
