Meet our students - Norma

Norma, a vibrant 75-year-old and has been an integral part of our student community for a remarkable decade! She first appeared through our doors in 2014, where she completed computer and literacy courses.

Currently enrolled in six courses this semester (impressive right?!) Norma embodies the essence of lifelong learning & takes immense pride in her work. We always eagerly anticipate her visits, where she shares her latest projects and even treats our staff to delightful chocolates, a gesture that never fails to warm our hearts.

Norma's dedication to lifelong learning highlights the transformative power of education at any age. Her journey exemplifies the profound impact neighbourhood houses have on fostering a sense of community, lifelong growth, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences among community members.

We are proud of Norma and all of her achievements!
