Olympic Adult Education’s Literacy students embarked on a project to organise Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council.  They spent many hours in class creating posters, making items for the display board and sending out invitations.

Tuesday 22 May was a hectic day as students, volunteers and teachers busily prepared food in the kitchen.  In the Thomas Rossell Room, as the Police Band prepared for their performance, the audience waited eagerly in anticipation.

No-one was disappointed once the band began their performance. Soon the audience clapped and danced to the music, often cheering when one of their favourite tunes was played. Afterwards everyone indulged in a wonderful morning tea mingling with each other and visiting the information booths organised by Consumer Affairs Victoria.

A total of $356.05 was raised through the Biggest Morning Tea.  A big thanks to all those who contributed to making the day a success.
