These courses are for those who are not looking for a qualification, but still want to learn some basic skills. Classes will run sibject to sufficient enrolments.

Build your confidence by learning the patterns of word construction in English and practicing them in context.

Develop basic reading skills and strategies in a supportive environment. For beginning and emergent readers.

Life Skills Program (ACFE Funded)

These classes are designed for students with a mild intellectual disability who have minimal reading and writing skills. Classes are structured around learning numeracy, developing reading and writing skills and using computers.

Pronunciation & Conversation 

Improve your pronunciation and build your confidence in conversational skills for everyday and work situations.

Pronunciation & Conversation (Men)

Specifically designed for Somali men, this course helps to improve your pronunciation, build your confidence in conversational skills for everyday, and work situations.

EAL for Mature Learners

This course is for people who have been speaking English for many years but would like to develop skills in English reading, writing and vocabulary.

EAL for Mature Learners:         Monday - 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Floristry Workshops

Expressions of Interest are being taken for Floristry Workshops throughout 2020.

Workshops may include:

Bowl Arrangements, Boxed Arrangements, New Baby Gifts, Flowers & Wine Gifts

Students will need to supply some flowers and foliage.

 

 Driver Readiness - Term 3 (ACFE Funded)

Focusing on understanding English requirements, road rules & safety information. Learners will be able to do practice tests with support from the teacher.

Computer Basics   (ACFE Funded)

Learn the basics of how to use a computer including eBay, Facebook, Skype and PayPal. Topics include creating and saving documents, internet and email. As this course is self-paced, enrolments can occur when there is a vacancy.
